About us

 

Sani Civil Engineering Consultants is established in Nigeria in 1993 for the purpose of providing consultancy services in Water, Environmental and other Civil Engineering Projects.  Its head office is at No. U7/13 Baba Impossible Road, Kundila Housing Estate, Kano, Nigeria.  Although the Firm is established in 1993, its executive management and professional staff have varied experiences spanning over 35 years in related disciplines with various organizations.  Therefore the firm can be seen as one with considerable experience in the various fields of consulting, engineering and project management.

Engr. Suleiman Sani (Nigerian) has M.Sc. in Water and Waste Engineering (specialized in water resources development) and is the Principal Partner of Sani Civil Engineering Consultants since 1993.  In addition to being the chief executive of the consulting firm, he provides short and long term inputs to various projects undertaken by the firm.  Among the projects are: Study of Badeggi Staple Crops Processing Zone (SCPZ) in Nigeria; sponsored by the National Program for Food Security (NPFS) and African Development Bank (AfDB), design and Supervision of thirty-three (33) small earth dams in Kaduna and Katsina states (Nigeria) sponsored by NPFS and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), so also for seven (7) small earth dams and five hundred (500) irrigation modules at Gombe State (Nigeria) for the NPFS, sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), design; supervision and institutional strengthening for the Wudil Regional Water Supply Scheme for Kano State Government (Nigeria).  Engr. Suleiman Sani was also the team leader for the Development of a Water Supply Master Plan for Kano State (Nigeria), sponsored by E.U. (WSSSRP).  Outside Sani Civil Engineering Consultants, Engr. Suleiman Sani is currently employed as Dam Management Specialist under a World Bank Financed Transforming Irrigation Management in Nigeria (TRIMING) Project.  He  was also the Chief Resident Engineer; under Diyam Consultant; for the development of 6,000 hectares of the Kano Irrigation Project (KRIP) (2005-2006). He also  served Kano state of Nigeria as: General Manager Dams & Irrigation Division of the Water Resources and Engineering Construction Agency (1993-1996), Managing Director of the Kano state Water Board (1999-2003 & 2011-2013) and Managing Director of the Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (Nov. 2013-May 2015).  Engr. Suleiman Sani is a registered engineer by the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.

Engr. Ali Sani Maihula (Nigerian) has M.Sc. in Water Engineering and is the Managing Director of Sani Civil Engineering Consultants.  He has served in many capacities since 1996, among which are: as Water Engineer for the Study of Badeggi Staple Crops Processing Zone (SCPZ) in Nigeria; sponsored by the National Program for Food Security and African Development Bank (AfDB), Resident Engineer for Construction Supervision of thirty-three (33) small earth dams in Kaduna and Katsina states (Nigeria) for the National Programme for Food Security; sponsored by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), so also for seven (7) small earth dams and five hundred (500) irrigation modules at Gombe State (Nigeria) for the NPFS, sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Project Manager for construction of 35 School Latrine blocks at Kazaure and Gumel in Jigawa state (Nigeria) for the U.K. Department For International Development (DFID), Resident Engineer for the Construction of 90 million liters per day R.C. Clarifier for the 3rd. Challawa Waterworks in Kano and Team Leader for the design of an Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant for Challawa and Sharada Industrial Estates in Kano (Nigeria); sponsored by Kano State Government, Project Manager for National Rural Water Supply Programme in Yobe state (Nigeria); sponsored by the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), Resident Engineer for the National Urban Water Supply Programme in Kazaure, Jigawa State (Nigeria), sponsored by PTF.  Engr. Ali Sani Maihula is a registered engineer by the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
